It’s the Department of Conservation’s #ConservationWeek!! Earlier in the week some of our team joined up with the Whareroa Guardians Community Trust to remove some pesky invasive weeds such as blackberry, gorse and thistle from Whareroa Farm. It was a battle between human and Mother Nature, with rain showers, a bitter southerly, and thorns (oh so many thorns). However, it was all done with laughter, a smile and a real team spirit. They ended the day by planting a number of native trees.
