Aotea

Cuttriss takes pride in our longstanding relationship with Carrus, who we have worked with to create over 600 sections in the Aotea suburb of Porirua. This modern subdivision boasts prime location, local amenities and a range of recreational facilities including reserves, walkways, cycleways, parks and playgrounds.

Managing the consenting, construction and implementation of this large-scale project was a significant undertaking. The civil engineering component involved balancing 1,500,000m³ of earthworks, and the construction of new roads and civil infrastructure. Tight erosion and sediment controls were required to protect Te Awarua o Porirua/Porirua Harbour, a significant and highly sensitive receiving environment. We also worked with the Porirua City Council to obtain final certifications and completed a number of land transfer surveys over a nearly ten-year period.

The project has made a significant contribution to the overall housing capacity of the City and has provided hundreds of families with an amazing place to call home.
